The pieces are crafted from reverse-painted glass with a glossy black background and extensive gold trim. The design features a souvenir or travel theme, showcasing country names such as “BRITAIN, ” “ITALY, ” “Spain, ” “Austria, ” “Germany, ” “Ireland, ” “Scandinavia, ” “France” (with “CAFÉ DE CHAT NOIR”), “Portugal, ” “HOLLAND, ” and “BELGIUM, ” alongside iconic imagery and figures. The smaller dishes also include a central gold world map motif. All pieces are signed “Dan Baird.”
