An Osborne Ivorex plaque depicting “The Home of Charles Dickens Gadshill-Rochester.” This rectangular polychrome relief plaque, crafted from molded plaster or resin, depicts the scene in a naturalistic style. The detailed scene features a large, ivy-clad historic house surrounded by trees, rendered with applied earthy and green tones. The plaque is set within a simple, raised off-white frame, which bears the inscription “The Home of Charles Dickens Gadshill-Rochester” along its lower edge. The reverse side is marked with “.IVOREX, ” “OSBORNE.COPYRIGHT, ” and “MADE IN ENGLAND, ” and retains its original twine hanger. 15.5×20.5cm
