This collection comprises a group of international banknotes and coinage. The banknotes include one modern British £5 note and two £1 notes, both featuring Queen Elizabeth II. Also present is a group of Chinese 1 Yuan notes, marked “中国人民银行” (People’s Bank of China) and “壹圆” (one yuan), depicting Mao Zedong. The coinage is diverse, featuring a group of various British issues from different periods, including shillings, pence, and a 50-pence piece. Additionally, there are two modern commemorative silver-toned £5 coins, dated 1997 (“Memory of Diana Princess of Wales”) and 1998 (“The Prince’s Trust”), with some still sealed in protective plastic. The lot also includes a group of multiple older, worn, primarily copper-toned coins of indeterminate origin. The materials consist of paper for the banknotes and various metals for the coins.
