A polished sterling silver trumpet-form flower vase or single stem holder, featuring a tall, faceted stem rising from a circular, weighted base. The vase culminates in a flared rim with a distinct scalloped edge, indicative of a traditional or classical style. Visible hallmarks on the base include the maker’s mark "S&M, " an anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, a lion passant denoting sterling silver, and a date letter ‘O’ denoting the year 1963. The underside of the base is covered with a black felt-like material.
