A Chinese Yixing Zisha stoneware teapot, unglazed reddish-brown, featuring a bulbous body, a short curved spout, a C-shaped handle, and a fitted domed lid with a loop finial. The exterior surface is extensively incised with Chinese calligraphy, including phrases such as ‘清泉活水煮’ (Qīngquán huóshuǐ zhǔ – ‘Clear spring living water boiled’) and ‘詩書畫印’ (Shī shū huà yìn – ‘Poetry, calligraphy, painting, seal carving’), suggesting a poetic or literati theme. The base bears an impressed square seal mark with stylized Chinese characters, likely a maker’s mark. Internally, a perforated filter is visible at the base of the spout. 11cm tall
