This item comprises a circular decorative plate presented within a custom rectangular hinged case. The case is clad in dark green velvet, lined with cream satin, and features brass-toned clasps. The plate itself is crafted from wood, featuring a central section adorned with a vibrant hand-painted scene depicting a procession of numerous figures in traditional attire on camels and a donkey, rendered in a style characteristic of Persian or Middle Eastern miniature painting, possibly under a clear protective coating. This central medallion is framed by a deeply carved wooden border showcasing intricate arabesque or scrolling foliate patterns. The reverse of the plate reveals natural wood grain and is fitted with a small metal hanger. No visible text, signatures, or maker’s marks are apparent on either the plate or its case.
