An Antique Italian Walnut Rostrum or Counter. This rectangular, dark-stained hardwood exquisite piece of furniture is likely made in a Baroque or Renaissance Revival style. Its front features a slightly slanted flat top surface and is divided into three vertical sections by fluted pilasters. The outer sections display arched recessed panels, and the central section has a rectangular recessed panel, suggesting doors or false fronts. A lower tier presents three smaller rectangular panels, similarly divided. The item’s sides terminate in substantial carved scrolled supports at both upper and lower corners. Constructed from solid walnut with figured or burl wood panels. 250x55cm, 90cm tall
