The plate itself is crafted from wood, featuring a central section adorned with a vibrant hand-painted scene depicting a procession of numerous figures in traditional attire on camels and a donkey, rendered in a style characteristic of Persian or Middle Eastern miniature painting, possibly under a clear protective coating. This central medallion is framed by a deeply carved wooden border showcasing intricate arabesque or scrolling foliate patterns.
